Yesterday

Camunda has announced the appointment of Barbie Brewer as Chief People Officer to support its growth and fully remote workforce.

Barbie Brewer joins Camunda with over 20 years of experience in HR and people management, having previously worked as Chief People Officer at Safe Security and held leadership positions at GitLab, Netflix, and ClickUp. Her role at Camunda will focus on ensuring the company's remote workforce, comprising over 500 employees, remains connected, engaged, and supported.

Effective in 2024, Camunda has recruited over 100 new employees in response to a growing market demand for process orchestration and automation. The company, which recently reached the milestone of USD $100 million in annual recurring revenue, continues to expand its global operations without operating from a physical office.

In her new capacity, Barbie is charged with overseeing talent acquisition and all aspects of people management within Camunda. A key part of her responsibilities is to uphold and promote Camunda's corporate culture and 'FAITH' values, which stand for Focus, Ambition, Integrity, Talent, and Humour. The goal is to cultivate a diverse, collaborative, and efficient international workforce.

Commenting on her appointment, Barbie Brewer stated, "I look forward to continuing to drive Camunda's unique company culture and support its rapidly expanding remote international workforce to drive impact. It's an exciting time to be joining the company, as the market demand for process orchestration and automation capabilities is growing at a rapid pace. The combination of Camunda's people and technology is a real differentiator, so I can't wait to help Camunda excel."

Jakob Freund, CEO and Co-Founder of Camunda, expressed enthusiasm about the hiring of Barbie Brewer. He remarked, "As an international company with a diverse and remote workforce, high performance and personal development are top priorities. We're delighted to welcome Barbie's wealth of experience, as we continue to drive the business forward and make a market impact. Our people are central to Camunda's success, so it is important that in return we support their growth too."

By orchestrating processes at an advanced level, Camunda continues its trajectory of growth and digital transformation across various sectors. Several enterprises, including Atlassian, ING, and Vodafone, leverage Camunda's solutions to optimise their business-critical processes.
