DTCC has appointed Samir Pandiri as Managing Director and Chief Client Officer, adding him to the group's Executive Committee.

He will oversee DTCC's Global Client Management team, DTCC Consulting Services, and Marketing & Communications. The client management remit includes client leads, relationship management and growth, and partnerships and strategic alliances.

Pandiri will report to President & Chief Executive Officer Frank LaSalla and will lead client-facing functions at one of the largest post-trade market infrastructure providers in global finance.

He brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services, spanning asset servicing, fund administration, capital markets, fintech, corporate services, wealth management, and trustee services.

Before joining DTCC, Pandiri held senior roles at TMF Group, Apex Group, Broadridge International, and BNY. He has also led teams across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific, including more than 15 years based in Hong Kong and London.

His responsibilities will include managing long-term relationships with clients and other stakeholders, as well as shaping the firm's approach to client coverage and service delivery.

The appointment comes as market infrastructure groups face growing pressure to support clients through increasingly complex trading, settlement, and reporting requirements. DTCC sits at the centre of that system, processing large volumes of securities transactions and providing custody and asset servicing for markets around the world.

According to the company, its subsidiaries processed securities transactions worth USD $4.7 quadrillion in 2025. Its depository subsidiary provided custody and asset servicing for securities issues from more than 150 countries and territories valued at USD $114 trillion, while its Global Trade Repository service handles more than 25 billion messages a year.

Leadership change

Pandiri's arrival gives DTCC a senior executive focused on client relationships as the industry navigates market structure reforms, operational demands, and the continued shift towards digital market infrastructure. His remit brings business development, consulting, and communications together under one leadership role.

LaSalla outlined the rationale for the appointment in a company statement.

"Samir's unique combination of skills will enable us to build stronger relationships across the industry and serve as a strategic partner to our clients. His deep knowledge of global finance and post-trade infrastructure will be critical as we advance initiatives to enhance market structure, mitigate risk and create the digital markets of the future," said Frank LaSalla, President & Chief Executive Officer, DTCC.

Pandiri also commented on joining the organisation.

"I have had the privilege of interacting directly or indirectly with DTCC over the years, and from those experiences, I have developed a deep appreciation and respect for the critical work of the company and the outstanding people who deliver on its mission every day. I'm excited to join the firm and help further elevate how we support our clients during this period of accelerating change and transformation," said Pandiri.

DTCC operates from 19 locations globally and is owned and governed by the industry it serves. Its services cover clearing, settlement, asset servicing, transaction processing, trade reporting, and data services across a range of asset classes.

Given that reach, leadership changes can carry weight beyond the company itself, particularly when they affect client coverage and industry partnerships. Pandiri's experience across post-trade infrastructure, fund services, and financial technology gives DTCC an executive with a broad view of how large financial institutions buy and use operational market services.

His previous roles at firms serving banks, asset managers, and other financial institutions suggest a focus on large institutional clients and cross-border operations. Those are central features of DTCC's business, which supports broker-dealers, custodian banks, and asset managers across multiple markets.

As Chief Client Officer, he will oversee teams closest to customers, along with the group's consulting and communications functions, giving the role a broad mandate across the organisation and its external relationships.
