Dynatrace launches app to support EU's DORA compliance

Yesterday

Dynatrace has expanded its compliance capabilities with the introduction of a new Compliance Assistant app designed to aid organisations in meeting the requirements of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) EU regulation.

The application is intended to provide companies with the necessary visibility, insights, and automation to mitigate risks and ease the burden of time-consuming compliance configuration checks as mandated by DORA.

Rob Strechay, Managing Director and Analyst with theCUBE Research, noted the growing challenges faced by organisations. "Organisations are grappling with new regulations and technologies, such as GenAI, and struggling to address, upskill, and staff compliance functions," he said. "DORA is a major regulation that profoundly impacts organisations' resilience and security requirements across any organisation doing business in the EU. Dynatrace aims to help specifically with requirements like efficient event correlation, threat hunting, and more. This is where automation via Dynatrace with Davis AI can make a difference for organisations."

Through its AI-powered platform, Dynatrace aims to assist teams in preventing operational issues, supporting the delivery of resilient digital services, and identifying potential technical gaps that may impact compliance. The platform provides automatic visibility, mapping the complex IT environments in real-time to help detect and prioritise potential security incidents.

The Compliance Assistant app, specifically tailored for DORA compliance, offers a dedicated view that automates configuration checks and identifies exposures and system behaviours that deviate from the norm.

This is achieved by highlighting root causes and priority based on business impact.

Steve Tack, Chief Product Officer at Dynatrace, emphasised the importance of continual compliance and automation. "Achieving continuous compliance while minimising manual effort will be critical for organisations moving forward," he stated.

"Success requires complete visibility into all business processes, from backend services to end-user experiences. With Dynatrace, our customers – who consist of the largest organisations in the world across some of the most intensely regulated industries – benefit from an AI-powered approach to observability and security that provides them with the insights and automation capabilities needed to manage ongoing compliance and resilience at scale."

The compliance and resilience capabilities offered by Dynatrace are currently accessible to all its customers. The Compliance Assistant app, presently in private preview, is anticipated to become generally available within the coming 90 days.
