Ecommpay to offer free neurodiversity training in FinTech sector

Today

Ecommpay has announced it will offer free neurodiversity training to its partners and clients within the payments and FinTech sectors, aiming to support the development of more inclusive workplaces.

The training session, set to take place on 20th May 2025, will be delivered by Cressida Stephenson, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of EdenChase Associates. Stephenson, who is noted for both her professional expertise and lived experience in inclusive talent practices, will lead the full day of educational activities, which includes a panel discussion featuring neurodiverse individuals. Participants in the panel will share their personal experiences both inside and outside the workplace to provide practical context to the training delivered.

Central themes in the training will include enhancing understanding of neurodivergence, recognising traits associated with neurodiversity, and offering guidance for supporting neurodivergent individuals throughout recruitment and employment. In addition, the sessions will cover the advantages of neurodiverse teams and outline key workplace and communication adjustments to create a more accommodating environment.

Describing the importance of the event, Cressida Stephenson stated: "It is great to see businesses like Ecommpay recognise the need to build neurodiversity into their day-to-day operations as well as extend the support to its partners and customers. It is estimated that more than 70% of Gen Alpha and currently 53% of Gen Z identify as neurodivergent. With such a significant proportion of the population, the talent pool and customer base of every business, it's critical for organisations to understand how those individuals present, interact, process information and emotions, as well as communicate."

The training is aligned with Ecommpay's internal policies, as its own employees are also set to participate as part of mandatory diversity and inclusivity education encompassed by the firm's broader Ecommpay for Good programme.

Miranda McLean, Chief Marketing Officer at Ecommpay, emphasised the company's broader strategic goals: "We are working to create and nurture an inclusive and equitable culture within our own business while also helping our clients do the same for their organisations."

McLean added, "Training our team to understand, value and celebrate all neurodiverse individuals is an important step in this on-going journey, and we are offering the training to our partners and clients too in order to share the benefits. The training promises to be engaging and highly valuable, and everyone is looking forward to taking part and learning something new which will benefit them and others at work as well as in their home and social lives."

Registration for the training is open to Ecommpay's partners and clients, with available spaces being limited.
