Flexxon has made a strategic investment in Tech4Biz Solutions to support the joint development of secure server infrastructure.

The companies will combine Flexxon's X-PHY hardware security technology with Tech4Biz's Cloudtopiaa cloud and AI infrastructure platform. Their aim is to build server and data centre systems with security embedded at the hardware layer from the outset, rather than added later.

The partnership comes as more organisations seek to run AI workloads on their own infrastructure instead of relying entirely on large public cloud providers. That shift puts more security responsibility on enterprises, public bodies, and research institutions that own and operate those systems.

Under the arrangement, X-PHY protection will be integrated into Cloudtopiaa environments so servers are delivered with security built into the machine. Development is already under way, with commercial deployment expected in 2027.

Initial target customers are governments, regulated enterprises, research institutions and data centre operators in Singapore, India and North America.

Hardware focus

Flexxon's X-PHY business centres on hardware-based cyber security. The company says the technology places threat detection in drive firmware and hardware below the operating system, with the aim of continuing to function even if the software layers above have been compromised.

Tech4Biz, based in Bengaluru and operating in the US, builds cloud and AI infrastructure through its Cloudtopiaa platform. It says it designs and runs public cloud, private cloud, high-performance computing, GPU inference and AI data centre environments for customers that want control over where their data and systems are located.

The companies positioned the agreement as part of a broader move towards sovereign and owned infrastructure for AI. Gartner has forecast that worldwide sovereign cloud infrastructure-as-a-service spending will reach USD $80 billion in 2026, up 35.6 per cent from 2025, with governments among the biggest buyers.

Against that backdrop, technology suppliers are looking beyond software-only defences as AI systems gain deeper access to internal data and business processes. Flexxon and Tech4Biz are pitching hardware-level security as a way to reduce exposure when organisations build and run their own server estates.

Cloudtopiaa already supports production workloads for customers including L&T Technology Services, which uses the platform for a quality management system for GxP-regulated industries and for a multi-agent enterprise AI platform. Tech4Biz also says the platform is being used in a private cloud laboratory ecosystem for Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering in Mysuru.

Camellia Chan, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Flexxon, described the investment as the next stage of an existing relationship between the two businesses.

"Having worked with Tech4Biz for several years, I am glad to take this next step and deepen the partnership as we continue building towards more secure, more reliable standards together. We are building hardware that is secure by default, carrying that protection from devices into the servers and data centres enterprises now run themselves - the part of the stack where traditional security leaves the widest gaps," Chan said.

Tech4Biz says the growth of privately owned AI infrastructure has changed the balance of responsibility for system design and cyber protection. The company argues that businesses running the full stack themselves cannot rely on a third party to absorb configuration mistakes or weaknesses in deployment.

"When a company owns its whole AI stack, there is no hyperscaler behind it to absorb a mistake, so the design and the security have to be right from day one. We have spent years building and running sovereign infrastructure in production for enterprises and institutions, and bringing X-PHY into that design means every server we deliver will ship with protection built into the hardware itself," said  Yasha Khandelwal, Co-founder and CEO of Tech4Biz Solutions.
