Gr4vy partners with Mastercard to simplify global payment access

Thu, 23rd Oct 2025

Gr4vy has announced a partnership with Mastercard to make advanced payment technologies more accessible to merchants worldwide.

This collaboration enables Gr4vy's merchant customers to integrate Mastercard Merchant Cloud solutions such as network tokenisation, Click to Pay, and Gateway services directly via Gr4vy's platform. With this integration, merchants can implement Mastercard's payment services on demand through Gr4vy's no-code platform, bypassing typical technical complexities and development requirements.

Access to Mastercard technologies

The partnership is designed to help global merchants and platforms streamline and optimise their payment capabilities. With Mastercard's Merchant Cloud now available through Gr4vy's solution, businesses can deliver more secure, faster, and flexible payment experiences for their customers while adapting swiftly to shifting consumer expectations.

"Working with Mastercard marks a significant milestone in our mission to simplify and enhance digital payments for merchants worldwide," said John Lunn, founder and CEO of Gr4vy. "By integrating Mastercard's solutions like network tokenization and Click to Pay, we're helping businesses reduce fraud risk and create a faster, more reliable checkout experience. Together, we're shaping the future of digital commerce."

Network tokenisation, one of the flagship technologies in the new offering, allows merchants to substitute static card credentials with secure, dynamic tokens after the initial setup and provisioning. This reduces the risk of fraud and increases transaction security. Simultaneously, Mastercard's Click to Pay service eliminates the need for customers to manually enter card details, aiming to deliver a more convenient and user-friendly checkout experience.

Merchant benefits

For many merchants, reducing time to market and technological overhead is a significant challenge when it comes to payment integrations. By enabling on-demand access to Mastercard's payment solutions without custom development, Gr4vy's platform is positioned to address this concern for businesses of various sizes.

Johan Lindstrom, Senior Vice President, Global Partnerships, said, "Mastercard's technologies are helping to remove common barriers that merchants experience when expanding and growing their businesses. Through our collaboration, Gr4vy's merchant can now implement our card-on-file tokens and Click to Pay solution, enhancing security, accelerating time to market, and transforming the check-out experience for consumers. This agility helps businesses stay ahead in an increasingly competitive digital commerce landscape."

Industry recognition

Gr4vy's selection as one of just six startups for Mastercard's inaugural Start Path Acceptance programme in 2024 highlights its growing presence in efforts to simplify payment infrastructures globally. The Start Path Acceptance initiative is tailored to support fintech companies that seek to expand payment acceptance ecosystems across international markets.

The company asserts that its no-code approach to payment orchestration reduces the technical complexity for merchants, especially as more businesses look to modernise their payment stacks and keep pace with evolving consumer demands around digital payments and security.

This collaboration between Gr4vy and Mastercard represents a step towards broader adoption of tokenised payments and adaptable checkout solutions for merchants worldwide.
