IDeaS has expanded its relationship with Accor after the hotel group selected its Optix business intelligence product for hotels worldwide. The move adds another layer to the companies' existing work in revenue management.

Optix has been chosen as one of the referenced business intelligence solutions available to hotels in the Accor network, which spans more than 5,800 properties in more than 110 countries. IDeaS already serves as Accor's revenue management system of record, and the latest agreement extends that role into commercial reporting and performance analysis.

The arrangement is centred on giving hotel teams a single view of performance data across individual properties and broader portfolios. The system is intended to reduce the time spent compiling reports from separate systems and help teams respond more quickly to changes in demand and market conditions.

Accor's scale means any technology decision can affect a wide range of hotel types, from economy to luxury brands. Optix has a modular structure designed to fit those different operating models while working with existing commercial systems and workflows.

Commercial reporting

The companies positioned the selection against a backdrop of growing complexity in hotel operations, with commercial teams dealing with fragmented reporting and disconnected data sources. In that environment, hotel operators are under pressure to protect profitability while making decisions faster.

For owners and managers in the Accor system, the emphasis is on clearer oversight of what is driving performance at both property and portfolio level. That could improve day-to-day decision-making and support better alignment between local hotel priorities and wider commercial strategy.

IDeaS said the product is intended to help hotels build a more complete view of performance, spot opportunities earlier and link performance data more closely to revenue strategy. It also aims to reduce the manual effort involved in pulling together information from multiple sources.

"Too many hotel teams still spend significant time manually compiling reports and piecing together disconnected data sources just to understand performance. Optix was designed to eliminate that friction by giving hotels fast access to trusted commercial insights that help teams make faster, more confident commercial decisions. We're incredibly proud to continue expanding our relationship with Accor and support its hotels with business intelligence capabilities purpose-built for the realities of modern hospitality operations," said Dr. Ravi Mehrotra, Co-Founder and Chief Scientist, IDeaS.

Broader ties

The latest step reflects a broader relationship between the two groups in revenue management technology. By building on systems already used within Accor, IDeaS is seeking to deepen its role in how hotel teams monitor performance and shape pricing and sales decisions.

That matters because hotel operators increasingly rely on data from multiple functions, including revenue management, sales and wider commercial operations. A business intelligence layer spanning those systems can influence how quickly managers identify weaker booking patterns, changing market demand or shifts in portfolio performance.

For Accor, choosing a referenced solution gives hotels and partners a standardised option for commercial insight without requiring a separate reporting structure to be built from scratch. The aim is to simplify access to performance data for teams across its network.

"As we continue to scale Accor's commercial engine globally, our priority is to give our hotels and partners the right insights to make faster, better-informed decisions. Optix will help simplify access to performance data, enabling hotel teams to identify opportunities, adapt their commercial strategies and ultimately drive stronger performance," said Julien Houdebine, Chief Sales & Revenue Officer, Accor.

IDeaS, a SAS company, said it has more than 34,000 installations globally across hotels, resorts, cruise lines and parking operations.
