Jane Robinson appointed as Avocado Consulting's new COO
Avocado Consulting, a noted company in the field of IT Professional Services, has recently announced the appointment of esteemed veteran, Jane Robinson as their new Chief Operating Officer (COO). The appointment, effective from February, strengthens the company's senior leadership team.
Robinson's appointment comes at a historic moment for Avocado, coinciding with the company's 20 years in business. Prior to this, the seasoned executive held a significant role as the Head of Technology for Advice Intelligence, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) startup. Interestingly, this startup was incubated within Avocado before being acquired by the global fintech company, GBST.
Robinson's role as the COO involves the high-level responsibility of overseeing all operational aspects of Avocado, including governance, culture, and ensuring resilience across processes and systems. Her duty extends to supporting Avocado's vast consultant workforce, comprising of over 150 professionals situated across New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland. Significantly, Jane will spearhead the Project Services business line, acknowledged as a core element of Avocado's past and present success.
Expressing her excitement at this juncture, Robinson says, "I'm happy to come full circle and be 'home' again. Being with Avocado in the earlier years and returning now as they celebrate their 20th anniversary is great." She also mentioned how thrilled she was to continue building on Avocado's legacy as a trusted IT partner and contribute to its ongoing growth and success.
Avocado's CEO, Gerardo Barranquero, spoke highly of Robinson's experience and her rare insight, expressing his confidence in her leadership. "Jane brings a wealth of capability to Avocado, and I am looking forward to working once again with someone of her calibre", Barranquero says. Prior to her success at Advice Intelligence, Robinson held major assignments at Avocado itself. She previously worked as Head of Client Services and later evolved into the Head of Development Services. Complementing her profound experience in the field is her impressive academic portfolio, boasting an MBA and a Degree in Business.
