Karnataka Bank improves communication with TrueConf platform
Karnataka Bank has introduced the TrueConf platform to improve digital communication among its 15,000 employees across 900 branches. The implementation of this solution has reportedly enhanced productivity and performance throughout the organisation, significantly improving internal communication efficiency and security. This new platform aims to facilitate effective collaboration, secure information sharing, and streamline operations across the bank.
Headquartered in Mangalore, Karnataka Bank operates a network comprising 915 branches and serves over 11 million customers nationwide. As part of the bank's modernisation efforts, a reliable video collaboration platform was urgently needed to ensure smooth coordination among employees across various branches.
Considering the bank's stringent requirements for the security of client's sensitive data and the reliability of the solutions implemented, TrueConf Server was selected as the preferred choice. It is a self-hosted video collaboration platform that allows the bank full control over the system and shared data, eliminating dependence on external services and cloud providers.
TrueConf Server operates within Karnataka Bank's corporate WAN without requiring an internet connection. Employees now have the capability to initiate online communication using various devices running different operating systems. They can install secure TrueConf client applications featuring 4K video conferencing, team messaging, and other collaborative tools on their desktops or mobiles.
Additional functionalities include access to a corporate address book with presence statuses, a conference scheduler, file sharing, screen sharing, and slideshow features, as well as AI-based tools designed to enhance privacy and improve the quality of meetings. This digital system enables swift and effective consultation among employees at all branches, reduces the incidence of work errors, and expedites decision-making processes.
