Optimizely has announced the launch of its new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Content Management System (CMS), featuring the Visual Builder tool. This addition aims to provide marketers with more flexibility and creative freedom in building and personalising websites.
Visual Builder is designed to simplify the front-end design and content creation process. According to Optimizely, the tool features a sleek interface with fully customisable elements and an interactive preview, enabling marketers to easily build personalised experiences that bolster engagement and conversion.
Rupali Jain, Chief Product Officer at Optimizely, said, "We wanted to build the best CMS for marketing teams. By simplifying the front-end design and content creation experience, we give marketers the creativity, speed and independence they have desired." Jain also highlighted that the CMS is now language-agnostic, allowing developers to start quickly with either traditional or headless architecture.
Optimizely's new CMS also includes a range of features aimed at enhancing efficiency and ease of use for marketing teams:
- Effortless design: Users can drag, drop and customise layouts for seamless brand alignment.
- Advanced content modelling: Structure and configure content to drive engaging user journeys, delivering the right message at the right time.
- Multi-channel management: Centralise management of websites, apps, and more, all in one place.
- Template management: Drive content reuse and efficiency with blueprints.
- Customisable workflows: Tailor approval processes to fit team dynamics and project needs.
- Automatic upgrades and scaling: Benefit from the latest innovations and faster market entry without the costs associated with upgrades.
On the contractual front, Optimizely has enhanced its partnership with Vercel, the Frontend Cloud platform provider. This strengthened partnership aims to offer developers a comprehensive suite of tools that include advanced deployment capabilities, seamless scaling options, and robust performance monitoring for their frontend experiences.
Additionally, the capabilities of Optimizely Graph have been expanded. This set of APIs now includes 'faceted and fuzzy' search functionalities, improving how users explore and find content within the SaaS CMS platform. Content delivery is served at the edge via Content Delivery Network (CDN), making content globally available at high speeds.
Optimizely Graph aims to allow digital teams to access and repurpose content from multiple sources efficiently. The expanded API functionalities seek to further streamline the work of marketing and development teams, promoting better collaboration and efficiency.
Jain added, "With painless upgrades and extensive capabilities, our new SaaS CMS and market-leading Visual Builder already stand out in today's increasingly competitive landscape."
Optimizely continues to pursue its mission of helping marketing and product teams unlock their digital potential. By offering a combination of SaaS and PaaS solutions, Optimizely seeks to meet various organisational and business needs, providing flexibility and choice to its user base.
