Seismic has announced new capabilities in its Spring/Summer 2024 Product Release, aimed at enhancing the performance of customer-facing teams through advanced AI-powered tools. The updates are designed to address the evolving landscape where business-to-business (B2B) customers increasingly prefer digital self-service over interactions with human sales representatives.
A recent survey conducted by Seismic reveals that 91% of respondents believe that enablement technology significantly improves customer experience, with 83% asserting that these tools will help their organisations sustain and expand their customer base in 2024. The study underscores the growing importance of digital solutions as customers take more control over their buying journey. According to research by Gartner, only 5% of the buyer's journey is now spent with a salesperson.
Seismic's new product capabilities are designed to help go-to-market (GTM) teams adapt to these changes. The release includes updates such as Aura Copilot, a generative AI assistant now available for early access. Aura Copilot is equipped to automate content creation, build lessons, and respond to queries within the platform. The AI assistant can tag content, generate descriptions, and provide AI-generated analytics, making it easier for GTM leaders to obtain insights quickly.
Enhancements in Seismic's product features also extend to "Seismic for Meetings," which aims to streamline preparation for client interactions. The updated workflows allow sales representatives to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues prior to meetings, with functionalities that include defining goals, setting agendas, and personalising content. These improvements are expected to enhance efficiency and productivity in client engagements.
Moreover, Seismic has introduced new integrations with Microsoft, enhancing the synergy between Seismic and Microsoft's suite of tools. These integrations include Microsoft Copilot for Sales and Copilot for Microsoft 365, as well as compatibility with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook, enabling sales representatives to use Seismic within their daily operational tools.
Krish Mantripragada, Chief Product Officer at Seismic, remarked, "Sellers who are not prepared to maximize every window of opportunity in the sales cycle will fall flat. That's why our latest product release arms them with the capabilities and resources they need to win." He added, "We're particularly excited about the launch of Aura Copilot after a series of pilot programs, which were met with high demand and participation from our customers. Our customers are eager to utilize generative AI across their enablement efforts, and we're thrilled with the feedback we've received at this stage."
Feedback from the pilot programme showcases the potential impact of Aura Copilot. Jennifer Sutherland, Global Leader of Culture, Learning & Development at Trustwave, noted, "Seismic's Aura Copilot has been fantastic for us. It's incredibly easy to use and requires minimal review due to its accuracy. We've used it for a variety of tasks, such as creating quizzes and course descriptions. This efficiency translates to a quicker turnaround for our salespeople, allowing us to swiftly implement new content, products, processes, and systems."
Customers in the pilot phase used Aura Copilot's features nearly 50,000 times across the Seismic platform, benefiting from the tool's capacity to streamline manual tasks such as lesson creation, answering questions, and generating summaries, Seismic states.
