Shai Morag appointed Tenable's new chief product officer

Tenable has appointed Shai Morag as its new chief product officer, with responsibility for increasing momentum and scale across the company’s product portfolio. The company aims to enhance security products tailored for a cloud-first environment.

Morag joined Tenable in 2023 following its acquisition of Ermetic, a company he co-founded that specializes in cloud-native application protection platforms (CNAPP). As the former CEO of Ermetic, he has been pivotal in expanding Tenable's Cloud Security. This division helps security teams identify and mitigate risks from misconfigurations, risky entitlements, and vulnerabilities.

“Over the last year, we have transformed Tenable into a best-in-class, cloud-first player, investing in our cloud strategy and expanding our capabilities at a relentless pace,” said Amit Yoran, chairman and CEO of Tenable. “Shai has been instrumental in our efforts, and by taking on the role of chief product officer, he will extend the same rigorous execution that defines our cloud solutions across the entire portfolio.”

Morag brings over 25 years of experience in product management and technology leadership roles. Before co-founding Ermetic, he served as the CEO of Secdo, a cybersecurity firm later acquired by Palo Alto Networks. He also served as CEO of Integrity-Project, which provided connectivity, networking, and security solutions before its acquisition by Mellanox. His extensive background includes ten years serving as an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces Intelligence Corps Unit 8200.
