Brightcove expands AI Suite with text-to-video pilot
Brightcove has announced it will expand its AI Suite with a new AI-Text-to-Video pilot programme commencing in the first quarter of 2025.
The expansion includes enhanced capabilities within the AI-Metadata Optimizer, featuring automated thumbnail creation and video chaptering.
These developments aim to optimise content management and engagement, with Brightcove working closely with participating customers to tailor the new solutions to their needs.
Kathy Klingler, Chief Marketing Officer at Brightcove, highlighted the positive reception of the AI Suite pilot programme.
"Since launching the Brightcove AI Suite pilot program six weeks ago, we've received incredible feedback from our customers about how our solutions are helping them save time and money and increase engagement with their audiences," she said. She also noted the advantage of customer feedback in informing the development roadmap, "What's so valuable about the pilot program is testing our products and solutions with our customers before they launch commercially," she said.
"They are engaged and communicating what works, what needs tweaking, and what they would like to see our platform do in the future, and that informs our roadmap".
Brightcove's customer-focused approach has led over 50 organisations to participate in the pilot programme, reaching its capacity. The programme is designed to maximise content utilisation, boost engagement, increase revenue, and address cost-quality challenges.
Management Leadership for Tomorrow, Fidelity Investments, and Kaplan have reportedly provided positive feedback on the AI Suite, expressing optimism for how these solutions can impact their operations and workflows. Jason Riley, Corporate IT Leader at Gaia, expressed excitement about the integration of AI capabilities within the Brightcove platform.
"Overall, we're excited about what this can do for our organization," he said.
"The biggest additional value is integrating these AI capabilities within the Brightcove platform to save us time from going to multiple places."
The introduction of AI Text-to-Video will allow users to convert text prompts into video content, which can be edited directly on the Brightcove platform.
This feature is expected to further enhance the efficiency of content creation and management for users within the pilot programme.
Brightcove is utilising models from renowned industry leaders such as Anthropic, AWS, and Google, alongside partnerships with organisations like CaptionHub and Frammer to bolster its AI Suite offerings. The AI Suite is built according to Brightcove's commitment to secure data handling as outlined in its AI Pledge.
