Cygnet. One and GLIB showcased agentic artificial intelligence tools for financial decision-making at Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai.

The technology is designed to help financial institutions assess information from multiple sources at once, rather than reviewing data, documents and records separately. The companies presented it as a way to create a single contextual report drawing on enterprise systems, financial data, documents, external information and records such as property deeds.

Cygnet. One, which operates in tax technology, compliance and digital transformation, said the model combines specialised software agents, business rules and human review in one environment. Institutions can configure the system around a specific process instead of relying on a fixed set of pre-built agents.

Alongside GLIB's agentic AI offering, the group presented several other financial technology products. These included Cygnet Finalyze, which focuses on credit and financial intelligence; Cygnet BridgeFlow for digital onboarding, with more than 15 validation checks including Aadhaar, PAN and GST; and Cygnet BridgeCash, an invoice financing platform for corporates, suppliers and lenders.

GLIB's products also include bank statement and financial statement analysis, document intelligence and agentic decisioning tools. Discussions around the showcase focused on the use of artificial intelligence in banking, financial services and insurance, as well as lending transformation, fraud detection and the role of human oversight in automated processes.

Context focus

A central theme of the presentation was that many financial institutions already hold large volumes of data and have existing technology systems in place, but struggle to connect them in a way that gives staff a clearer basis for action. The companies said their approach seeks to identify relationships and signals across separate information sources, so teams do not have to piece together findings manually.

Cygnet. One has grown from an IT services business into a provider of e-invoicing and tax compliance systems. It is one of India's accredited GST Suvidha Providers and Invoice Registration Portals, and works with businesses to connect ERP and accounting platforms with government tax networks for real-time invoice reporting and compliance.

The company has also expanded into international markets and broadened its focus beyond tax systems into areas including automation, managed services and enterprise software integration. Within financial services, it is targeting banks, non-banking financial companies and enterprises with products covering financial-data intelligence, credit assessment, onboarding, invoice verification, risk monitoring and financing workflows.

GLIB, which is part of the group, specialises in AI-led financial and document intelligence. Its work centres on bringing together information from documents, datasets and workflow systems to support lending, risk, finance and operational processes.

The rise of agentic AI reflects a wider shift in financial technology from models that perform narrow tasks to systems that attempt to coordinate multiple steps in a process. In practice, that means drawing together information from different repositories, applying rules to it, and suggesting a next step while leaving final approval or review to human staff.

That emphasis on oversight featured prominently in the companies' description of the technology. They said the system is intended to support decision-making rather than replace controlled review in regulated financial processes.

Niraj Hutheesing, Founder and Managing Director of Cygnet. One, set out that position during the showcase.

"Financial institutions already have significant amounts of data, models and technology across their operations. The next opportunity is to bring these pieces together with the right business context. Agentic AI can help institutions evaluate information across systems, documents and external sources, connect that intelligence into a single contextual view, and coordinate actions around specific business requirements. This can support faster, better-informed decision-making while retaining the controls and human oversight that financial processes require," said Niraj Hutheesing, Founder and Managing Director of Cygnet.One.
