Finmo has opened its global headquarters in Singapore as its TreasuryOS platform surpasses USD $1 billion in monthly transaction volume.

The new headquarters at Suntec City was officially opened by Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Development, and a board member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

For the Singapore-founded fintech, the new office marks a further expansion in its home market. The site increases office capacity by 50% and will support hiring across product, AI strategy, commercial, finance, compliance, and financial partnerships.

The expansion follows Finmo's USD $18.5 million Series A funding round, announced in 2025. The capital was allocated to product development, AI work, and international expansion.

Finmo has more than doubled its local headcount since securing its Major Payment Institution licence in Singapore in 2023. Singapore will remain the base for its work on AI, treasury intelligence, and payment products.

Growth marker

The headquarters opening coincides with a transaction milestone for TreasuryOS. Businesses now move more than USD $1 billion through the platform each month.

TreasuryOS combines payments, cash management, and treasury information in one system. The software connects with more than 11,000 banks and integrates with accounting and enterprise software including NetSuite, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.

The offering is aimed at finance teams managing cash positions and payments across multiple banks, entities, and currencies. Its tools give users a consolidated view of financial data and support liquidity and risk decisions.

David Hanna, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Finmo, linked the company's product strategy to the latest growth figures.

"Payments and treasury are two sides of the same ledger. Yet businesses have traditionally separated the movement of money from the intelligence behind it. Bringing the two together enables smarter payments informed by a real-time understanding of cash, liquidity and the wider financial position," said Hanna.

He also addressed the scale of the business and its financial position. "We're seeing that vision translate into real scale. Businesses now move more than US$1 billion through Finmo every month, while we remain cashflow positive as we expand globally," he said.

AI focus

A central part of the company's next phase is further investment in AI and treasury intelligence. It plans to deepen its use of agentic AI within its finance tools, building on existing work that includes its AI agent, MO AI.

According to Finmo, MO is intended to help finance teams identify risks, anticipate liquidity needs, and assess possible financial actions. The broader aim is to move users beyond monitoring financial positions towards more proactive responses.

The business operates in a regulated segment that requires local permissions across multiple jurisdictions. It now holds 11 licences and regulatory permissions across eight markets: Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States.

It has also obtained ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, and PCI DSS compliance as it has expanded its operations and customer base.

Singapore base

The presence of a government office-holder at the opening underlines Singapore's continued importance to financial technology companies building regional and international operations from the city-state. For Finmo, placing its global headquarters there signals that its home market remains central to both hiring and product development.

The company was founded by David Hanna, Akhil Nigam, Richard Oh, Raj Vimal Chopra, and Thomas Kang. Its backers include PayPal Ventures, Citi Ventures, and Quona Capital.

Recent recognition includes awards from the Asia FinTech Awards and the Asia FinTech Alliance Awards. Finmo will continue to develop its AI, treasury intelligence, and payment products from Singapore while expanding its team in the city.
