Glimpse has added forecasting markets for Ethereum, Solana and Gold to its trading platform, expanding beyond Bitcoin.

The platform lets users predict the price range in which an asset will trade at a future point, rather than take a conventional long or short position. Traders who make accurate forecasts receive rewards in Bitcoin.

The expansion follows the earlier launch of its Bitcoin forecasting market and marks the next step in broadening the range of assets available on the platform.

Backers include Stillmark, Timechain, Wolf and Entrepreneurs First. Glimpse positions itself as a forecasting market built around Bitcoin, while also offering access to other digital assets and Gold.

How it works

Rather than asking users to bet only on whether a price will rise or fall, the platform centres on forecasts about where an asset will sit within a future range. The structure is designed to let traders participate even when markets are moving sideways rather than sharply up or down.

Each trade feeds into what Glimpse describes as a live probability distribution for the relevant asset. In practice, that creates a market view of where participants collectively expect a price to land at a given time.

The addition of Ethereum and Solana extends the product into two of the most actively traded cryptoassets outside Bitcoin. Gold adds a more established global market, giving the platform a mix of digital and traditional assets.

User demand helped shape the decision to widen the list of markets, according to Glimpse. The company argues that traders want to apply the same forecasting method across a broader set of instruments than Bitcoin alone.

Access is limited to eligible users who complete identity verification checks. Glimpse also said it is progressing through the Bermuda Monetary Authority's in-principle approval process.

Broader push

The expansion offers a clearer picture of how Glimpse aims to distinguish itself in a crowded trading market. Rather than competing directly with spot exchanges or derivatives venues built around directional bets, it is trying to attract users interested in probability-based views on where prices may settle.

That approach could appeal to traders who want exposure to market views during periods of low volatility as well as during large price swings. It also creates a product in which user activity generates a collective market signal alongside a financial incentive.

James Pierog and Ruban Sundara Raj outlined that ambition in a joint statement on the launch.

"Bitcoin was always just the beginning. Our vision is to build the world's leading forecasting market, where people can express conviction across financial markets while earning Bitcoin for being right. Whether you think Ethereum is undervalued, Gold is about to rally or Bitcoin is entering a range, Glimpse lets you put that view to the test. Every forecast also contributes to a live picture of where the market collectively expects these assets to go, giving traders valuable insight alongside the opportunity to earn Bitcoin," said James Pierog and Ruban Sundara Raj, Co-Founders of Glimpse.

Forecasting-style products have drawn attention across both crypto and broader financial markets because they offer an alternative way to express views without relying only on binary direction. In Glimpse's case, using Bitcoin as the reward mechanism keeps the product tied to the asset on which the company was originally built, even as it broadens the underlying markets users can forecast.

The reference to Lightning Network deposits and withdrawals also points to an effort to reduce friction for Bitcoin transfers on and off the platform. That remains relevant for users who are rewarded in Bitcoin regardless of which supported asset they forecast.

For now, the asset list remains limited to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Gold. Even so, the inclusion of a commodity alongside cryptoassets suggests Glimpse is testing whether its model can extend beyond digital token markets to a wider set of financial instruments.

Participation depends on eligibility checks and identity verification, and Glimpse said it is taking a compliance-first approach as it expands.
