Kodak Alaris adds AI integrations to Info Input 7.5

Wed, 21st Jan 2026

Kodak Alaris has released version 7.5 of its KODAK Info Input Solution intelligent document processing software. The update adds native integrations with several generative AI services and introduces new administration and workflow design tools.

The company said the release focuses on faster job creation and simpler management for document processing operations. It also expands options for organisations that use external AI services alongside document capture and extraction tools.

AI integrations

Kodak Alaris said Info Input Solution uses an Open Intelligence design. The approach uses pre-built document models inside workflow processes. The company said the platform supports connections to third-party AI services through native integrations.

Version 7.5 adds native integrations with Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock Data Automation, ChatGPT, and BoxAI. The company said the software already integrates with Google Doc AI, Microsoft Document Intelligence, Hyperscience, Amazon Textract and ABBYY Extraction.

The release also highlights a combined approach that uses automated extraction and human review steps. Kodak Alaris said this approach targets accuracy and reliability in data extraction and processing.

Workflow changes

Kodak Alaris has introduced new workflow design and validation features in the latest release. The company said it has added smarter assignment and validation functions. It also introduced a drag-and-drop graphical workflow editor.

Kodak Alaris said these changes reduce effort during process design and speed up throughput for document processing tasks. The company positions the update as part of a broader shift towards more automated document workflows.

OCR addition

Version 7.5 includes the IRIS OCR engine at no extra cost, according to Kodak Alaris. The company said the software can create searchable PDF/A documents and apply AI-based indexing.

Kodak Alaris said the indexing function covers both content and metadata. It said this makes information easier to search across repositories.

Automation scope

Kodak Alaris said Info Input 7.5 covers document workflow steps such as classification, separation, data extraction, indexing, and validation. The company said the platform reduces manual checks and improves the speed and reliability of extraction.

The company said the IDP platform handles documents from multiple sources. It also said it processes unstructured and handwritten files. Kodak Alaris said the system can verify details such as legal references, threshold amounts, and content plausibility.

Kodak Alaris also described summarisation functions for multi-page documents and email threads. The company said summarisation provides a quick overview for staff. It said this supports faster classification and reduces time spent on routine tasks.

Market recognition

Kodak Alaris cited third-party recognition for its document processing software and partner strategy. The company said it received two Buyers Lab awards from Keypoint Intelligence. These included a 2024 Fall Pick Award for Info Input Solution as Outstanding Intelligent Document Processing Solution and a 2024-2025 Pacesetter Award for Excellence as a Capture & IDP Partner.

Kodak Alaris also referenced commentary from analyst firm Quocirca on its position in the intelligent document processing market. The company said Quocirca highlighted a combination of capture and information management with the Open Intelligence approach.

"Our mission is to make document intelligence open, application-oriented, and sustainable for the long-term," said Graham Etherington, Solutions Director, Kodak Alaris.

"Info Input Solution 7.5 does exactly that - we reduce complexity, create more room for innovation, and enable customers to implement automation faster and continuously develop their processes in line with advances in AI," said Etherington.

Kodak Alaris said it will continue to expand the software's integrations and workflow tools as AI models and document processing requirements change.
