Fore Excel opens India pre-booking for the XREAL Aura

Fore Excel has opened pre-booking in India for XREAL AURA spatial computing glasses, with the final price capped at ₹1,45,000 plus GST.

The Indian distributor is taking an advance payment of ₹4,999 and offering a ₹5,000 bonus credit, giving buyers total advance credit of ₹9,999 against the final purchase price.

XREAL AURA is a glasses-based device built on Android XR and Gemini. It features a 70-degree optical see-through display, hand tracking, 6DoF spatial anchoring, and a separate compute puck based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon Reality Elite platform.

The launch marks a push by Fore Excel to build XREAL's presence in India across consumer, enterprise, developer, and channel markets. The Pune-based distributor sees scope for the category in entertainment, workplace use, and software development as Android XR applications expand.

Pratik Agarwal, Director, Fore Excel, outlined the company's view of the device's role in computing.

"We believe XREAL AURA represents a significant shift in how we will interact with computing. This is not simply another pair of smart glasses or a portable display-it brings spatial computing, AI and digital content into a glasses-based experience," said Pratik Agarwal, Director, Fore Excel.

Wearable computing products have drawn renewed attention as technology companies look beyond smartphones and laptops for new interfaces. These devices aim to place digital content in the user's field of view while linking software, sensors, and voice or gesture input.

Fore Excel is positioning AURA for several types of users. For consumers, it is focusing on personal entertainment and gaming. For professionals, it presents the product as a private workspace that can connect with PCs, laptops, and handheld consoles.

The company also highlighted software access through Google Play and Android XR applications, giving the device a wider potential software base than products that rely only on proprietary content libraries.

India focus

India has become a target market for global hardware brands seeking growth beyond North America, Europe, and China. In newer categories such as augmented and mixed reality, suppliers and distributors are also trying to build local developer and channel ecosystems early, before volumes become mainstream.

Agarwal said that was part of the rationale for bringing the product to India.

"We brought XREAL to India because we see tremendous potential for spatial computing across consumers, professionals, creators, developers, education and enterprise applications. With AURA, users can create a private spatial workspace, enjoy an immersive personal cinema, interact with AI through Gemini and explore a growing Android XR ecosystem-all in a highly portable form factor," said Agarwal.

That strategy extends beyond retail sales. Fore Excel will handle market development for XREAL in India across consumer and business segments, drawing on its broader distribution work in IT hardware, networking, cybersecurity, robotics, mobility, and immersive technologies.

Use cases

Fore Excel described spatial computing as a category that can serve several use cases at once. The same hardware can support video viewing and gaming for consumers while also acting as a virtual multi-screen environment for users who want a more private way to work.

XREAL AURA also includes the XREAL X1S Spatial Coprocessor, intended to support low-latency spatial experiences. The glasses use optical see-through display technology, allowing users to continue seeing the world around them while digital content is overlaid into view.

Agarwal said the range of possible uses was central to the product's appeal in India.

"The opportunity for spatial computing in India is particularly exciting because the technology can address multiple use cases. A consumer can use it for entertainment, while professionals can use it as a private productivity workspace. Developers and enterprises can also explore new applications as the Android XR ecosystem evolves," said Agarwal.

AI layer

Another part of Fore Excel's pitch is the use of Gemini through Android XR. Artificial intelligence features could become a more natural interface in wearable devices, especially when combined with voice, visual context, and spatial displays.

"AI is increasingly becoming a natural interface for technology, and spatial computing adds another dimension to that interaction. The combination of Gemini and Android XR gives users an opportunity to experience AI within a more immersive computing environment," said Agarwal.

Fore Excel said it wants to widen access to the category in India as the ecosystem develops.

"Our objective is to make the latest spatial computing technologies accessible to the Indian market and build the ecosystem around them. XREAL AURA gives us an opportunity to introduce consumers, developers and enterprises to a fundamentally different way of experiencing digital content and computing," said Agarwal.

Pre-booking for XREAL AURA in the United States has already passed 10,000 orders, according to XREAL.
